Universities tend to ratify Protected Student Rights without including the unique needs of graduate students. Some schools and departments have gone out of their way to ratify Student Rights that explicitly protect graduate student rights.
Mentorship Agreements
Mentorship agreements are unique advisor-to-student contracts outlining obligations, responsibilities, and boundaries of both parties. We strongly recommend each student have a mentorship agreement established with their advisor. We’ve been collecting examples of mentorship agreements to encourage others to use them. Check them out below.
